Al Khuraiba & Sharma
Al Khuraybah and Sharma were coastal settlements along the Red Sea in northwestern Saudi Arabia. They served as local centers with schools, shops, petrol stations, fish restaurants, and other everyday services. Sharma also accommodated government facilities, a central mosque, and a small harbor. Residents relied primarily on fishing and small-scale farming, while the coastline attracted weekend visitors from nearby towns. Both settlements have since disappeared following the rapid transformation of the region.
